Year 4 performing the Haka dance
The Haka is a traditional ancestral war cry, dance or challenge from the Māori people of New Zealand. It is a posture dance performed by a group, with vigorous movements and stamping of the feet with rhythmically shouted accompaniment.
Year 4 learnt a short haka dance and song (in the original language) as part of our recent dance module in P.E. We think our performances would have made the Maoris proud. Miss Middleton and Mr. de Comarmond were certainly proud teachers. Enjoy.
Laude's Got Talent
We have so many talented children in this school. Anyone who has attended any of our Key Stage productions or the Danzart Concerts will have seen just how confident and multi talented the pupils in this school are. DANZART "The Wizard of OZ"
Danzart is a group of talented young performers at Laude San Pedro International College, led by Karen Felici–Guanieri. Danzart is the catalyst for inspiring a unique whole school experience which draws together children from the ages of 6 to 16 linking the primary and secondary school in a celebration of the power of Performing Arts. On the 28th and 29th of March 2012, the Laude Gymnasium was transformed by Danzart into a full scale performing arts arena that transported its delighted audiences over the rainbow and all the way to Broadway with a spectacular adaptation of the all time classic; Wizard of Oz.
Laude San Pedro will be offering a new exciting A level subject next year, Government and Politics.
By studying this course, students will acquire a wide range of skills including the ability to understand, summarise and interpret information from a variety of sources.They will develop research skills, being able to sift through the mass of information available on line, via news media, newspapers and magazines and extract and evaluate information . . .
