Laude San Pedro will be offering a new exciting A level subject next year, Government and Politics.

By studying this course, students will acquire a wide range of skills including the ability to understand, summarise and interpret information from a variety of sources.They will develop research skills, being able to sift through the mass of information available on line, via news media, newspapers and magazines and extract and evaluate information . . .

We had a fantastic time in 5B on world maths day. We did many interesting things. We made up number problems, here are some of them:
I think of a number. I multiply it by 6 and I have 54. What was my number?
I think of a number. I divide it by 7. I have 7. What was my number?

World Maths Day is coming!!!!

Every year we celebrate World Maths Day like thousands of other schools from around the world and 2012 is no exception. It will be a fun-filled fantastic day of investigating and learning all in the name of mathematics. There will also be opportunites for all children to win sought-after competition prizes and raise lots of money for our school's worthy charity.

Last Thursday children and teachers in year 1 went on a virtual trip to Australia to bring alive our current geography topic.
The playground was the departure hall and luggage check-in. We converted one classroom into a Delta Airlines Boeing-737, complete with airhostesses, refreshment trolley and a safety instructions video. We went through the process of checking – in, showing passports and boarding passes, labeling luggage and finding our seats on the plane.
