SIXTH FORM IN MARBELLA
In Years 12 and 13, students refine their choice of subjects according to their future career options. In Year 12 students study AS Level and in Year 13 they study A Level and these examinations are considered the gold standard for pre-university academic education.
Throughout the Sixth Form our students follow an extensive enriched curriculum which includes careers advice, community service and occupation-related learning. In addition, our Baccalaureate students are ambassadors for older students and help mentor younger students and provide enrichment opportunities throughout the school.
Welcome from the Head of Sixth Form

Following an education at Laude San Pedro International College, our pupils have been accepted into some of the world’s top universities, including Oxford, Cambridge and other Russell Group institutions.
We have an exciting and well-established provision in extra-curricular activities. This is particularly evident in sport and the performing arts and in the wide range of educational visits and residential stays that contribute to our academic year. As we prepare students for the global opportunities available to them, our overseas educational visits programme provides students with a greater understanding of different cultures and traditions – key to our success in maximising students’ potential.
Laude places high quality teaching and learning as a top priority. The professional development of our well-resourced staff is key to this and, as a result, they are highly experienced, well-qualified and trained to provide your child with the best possible education. Partnerships are crucial to achieving the best learning and support for students. We are very proud of the extraordinary parental engagement we have during a student’s time at school and we seek to build on and celebrate this at every opportunity.
I look forward to meeting you and your child and know that his journey with us over the coming years will be a happy, successful and fulfilling one.
Kind regards.

Access to the British Baccalaureate (Sixth Form)
Entry to the British Baccalaureate in Malaga begins with enrolment in the Sixth Form. For many international and local students, the British system offers the flexibility to choose subjects according to their interests and career aspirations. This selection process is key, as it allows them to develop a more personalised approach to their education.
Access to this programme is not only based on previous academic performance, but also includes interviews and personalised counselling.
What is the Sixth Form Methodology like?
The methodology of our Sixth Form in Malaga is focused on the integral development of the student. Students not only learn academic content, but also develop critical skills such as analytical thinking, problem solving and teamwork.
Classes are interactive, and teachers foster a collaborative learning environment, where each student has the opportunity to actively participate in their learning process. This approach fosters independence and responsibility, which are essential for success at university and in their future careers.
A-Level subjects
Advanced Level, universally known as A Level, is a qualification offered by educational institutions in the UK and abroad. A Levels are widely recognised around the world as the standard qualifications that UK universities use to assess a student’s eligibility for a degree course.
A Levels may be a UK qualification, but they are recognised by universities all over the world. They offer our students a great opportunity to specialise in their education, which students participating in the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, for example, do not have.
Our aim at Laude San Pedro is to help our students make the right decision about their A level course.
