We follow the UK EYFS National curriculum. Developing all seven learning areas, our students have subjects such as Numeracy, Literacy, Spanish, PE, PSED, and Continuous Provision.
Confidence with numbers
In Numeracy, pupils develop a strong early understanding of numbers - counting shapes and mathematical relationships. Through games, hands-on resources and real-life contexts, they build reasoning and problem-solving skills, creating a confident foundation for future learning.
Love of reading
Literacy introduces pupils to reading and writing through a structured phonics approach. They learn to recognise sounds, read and form CVC words, and begin writing progressively, fostering communication skills, reading comprehension and a love of books from an early age.
Growing with confidence
Children learn to understand and manage emotions, build self-esteem, form positive relationships and resolve conflicts, promoting independence, respect and wellbeing in a safe and supportive environment.
Learning through creativity
Continuous Provision provides a flexible and stimulating learning environment where pupils explore areas such as music, art and creative play. Through guided and independent activities, they develop imagination, social skills, coordination and self-expression, encouraging curiosity and independent learning.
Building confidence in Spanish
In this subject, pupils learn Spanish as a second language in a natural and progressive way. Through games, songs, daily routines and speaking activities, they build basic vocabulary and listening skills, gaining confidence to communicate in a bilingual environment.
Building strength through movement
In Physical Education, pupils develop motor skills, coordination and body awareness through age-appropriate, dynamic activities. Teamwork, confidence and healthy lifestyle habits are encouraged, helping children enjoy movement and physical wellbeing from an early age.

In Early Years, children begin their educational journey in a nurturing, stimulating environment. Through our core learning pillars, they develop academic foundations, essential life skills and multilingual confidence, building curiosity, independence and a love of learning from the very start.
Academic achievement
Supports every child’s development by personalised learning that celebrates progress.
Growing confidence, independence and social skills for lifelong success.
Learn languages in a diverse, inclusive and multilingual environment.
In Early Years, every child’s progress is carefully observed, valued and celebrated. Learning takes place through a play-based approach aligned with the EYFS framework, where teachers continuously observe children during both structured activities and child-initiated play. These observations shape personalised next steps, ensuring teaching is tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. Progress is tracked through learning journals, EYFS milestones and ongoing professional reflection, offering a holistic view of each child’s development. Achievements are recognised through daily praise, positive reinforcement and class celebrations, helping children build confidence and pride in their learning. Families are active partners in this journey, receiving regular updates, photos and reflections through our online platform, as well as meetings and reports that strengthen the connection between home and school.
Life competencies are at the heart of learning in Early Years. Children develop confidence, independence, kindness, communication, collaboration and resilience through everyday routines and meaningful play experiences. They are encouraged to make choices, manage simple tasks independently, express their feelings using language, and work cooperatively with others. Circle time, role-play and group activities provide daily opportunities to practise turn-taking, problem-solving and emotional regulation. Teachers closely observe children’s social and emotional development, offering guidance, modelling positive behaviour and celebrating milestones such as speaking in front of the group or persevering with a challenge. Strong partnerships with families ensure these skills are reinforced at home, supporting continuity between school and family life.
Our Early Years community is proudly international, with children from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. English is the main language of learning, while Spanish is naturally integrated into daily routines, songs, stories and classroom interactions. Language learning is playful and meaningful, helping children absorb new languages with confidence. Children new to English receive embedded EAL support through visual aids, repetition, modelling, songs and small-group activities. Each class benefits from a British lead teacher and a Spanish support teacher ensuring consistent language support. Home languages are valued and celebrated through multilingual displays, storytelling and cultural activities, reinforcing identity and promoting bilingual development. Families are encouraged to maintain their home language, supporting cognitive growth and long-term language success.
During Nursery and Reception the following objectives are pursued. Most are not taught as formal lessons, but approached through topics, continuous provision and adult led activities.
Communication and Language
Learning to express ideasCommunication and language is the foundation of all learning. Children develop listening, understanding and speaking skills through stories, conversations and play. They learn to express ideas, ask questions and build confidence in communication, supporting social interaction and future academic learning.

Children strengthen balance, control and dexterity while developing independence through everyday actions such as dressing, using tools and exploring active play.

I believe every child is unique and deserves to feel understood, supported, and valued.
Irene Soler, Educational Psychologist
I believe every child is unique and deserves to feel understood, supported, and valued. Each child brings a world of their own that we must respect in order to teach effectively. Understanding each student’s learning style is key to helping them grow. I consider it essential to work closely with families, teachers, and students to create a learning environment tailored to each individual’s needs. Education is about teaching children to think, not just to memorize.
