Where confidence grows
Discover what's happening
Students at our international school learn in an environment built on wellbeing. Feeling safe, seen and supported gives them the confidence to take on new challenges and grow - both in the classroom and beyond. Through restorative practices and a strong pastoral framework, every learner experiences emotional security, builds positive relationships and finds their place in our community.
PSHE and emotional development
In Primary, students follow the Jigsaw PSHE programme, developing emotional literacy, relationship skills and mental health awareness. In Secondary, Unifrog supports personal development and future planning. Where needed, students are referred to our school counsellor, available at any age, ensuring tailored support and early intervention.
Pastoral guidance and student support
Strong relationships are central to our pastoral approach. Daily check-ins, form time and regular interactions allow staff to identify needs quickly and provide guidance. Students feel known, valued and supported, building confidence, empathy and a strong sense of belonging.
Physical activity and sport
Physical wellbeing is embedded in school life. Beyond PE lessons, younger students enjoy regular movement breaks and all pupils have scheduled outdoor time. Sport promotes resilience, teamwork and healthy habits that support both academic focus and emotional balance.
Health education and school nurse support
Our school nurse works closely with families, providing guidance on nutrition, sleep and healthy routines. Workshops in selected year groups reinforce positive lifestyle choices, helping students understand how daily habits influence their physical and mental wellbeing.
Mindfulness and emotional regulation
Creative mindfulness, offered as an extracurricular activity, helps students manage stress, develop focus and strengthen emotional regulation. Closely linked to the Primary Jigsaw programme, it nurtures calm reflection and resilience in a supportive environment.
Daily mentoring and relationships
Pastoral care is visible throughout the school day. From the morning welcome to ongoing mentoring, staff build strong, trusting relationships with students. Through reassurance, encouragement and guidance, children feel safe, confident and ready to thrive academically and personally.
At Laude San Pedro International College, student wellbeing and safety are at the heart of school life. Through strong safeguarding practices, personalised support systems and meaningful student voice initiatives, we create a secure and empowering environment where every child feels known and valued.
Safeguarding is our highest priority at Laude San Pedro International College. All staff receive specialised training to respond effectively and proactively, ensuring wellbeing at all times. Fully aligned with UK Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance and Andalusian regulations, our trained safeguarding team, led by the Designated Safeguarding Lead - DSL, ensures every child feels protected, heard and valued. Through strong pastoral care, e-safety education and a comprehensive PSHE programme, students thrive in a secure and respectful environment.
Our dedicated student support team works alongside pastoral leaders to nurture each student’s emotional, social and academic development. Through personalised guidance, strong relationships and ongoing communication with families, students receive tailored care at every stage. From daily pastoral support to structured wellbeing initiatives, we ensure that every child feels understood, supported and empowered to achieve their full potential.
We actively empower students to lead and shape school life. In Primary, the Laude Leaders, and in Secondary, the Student Parliament, provide platforms for students to raise concerns, propose solutions and represent their peers. Termly wellbeing surveys further strengthen student voice, ensuring continuous improvement. These leadership opportunities build confidence, responsibility and essential life skills for future success.
At Laude San Pedro International College, strong values and meaningful partnerships shape our community. Through positive behaviour systems, inclusive practices and open communication with families, we create a respectful environment where every student feels a true sense of belonging and support.
Clear expectations, strong safeguarding and close school-family collaboration help create a safe, respectful environment where every student feels supported.
We promote a culture of positive relationships through a clearly defined code of conduct aligned with our Primary and Secondary behaviour policies, inspired by the Paul Dix approach. These shared expectations ensure consistency, fairness and mutual respect across the school.
Our robust anti-bullying procedures, aligned with Andalusian regulations, ensure that concerns are addressed swiftly and effectively. Students feel safe knowing that issues are taken seriously and managed with care and professionalism.
Through restorative approaches, mediation and initiatives that celebrate diversity, empathy and respect, students learn to value differences and take responsibility for their actions, building a genuine sense of belonging within the school community.
We believe education is strongest when school and family work together. Tutors maintain regular contact, particularly where wellbeing concerns arise, and families can speak directly with tutors, Key Stage Leaders, Student Support or the DSL. Weekly Family Notices ensure transparency, collaboration and shared responsibility in every child’s success.
From Early Years to Secondary, students are supported by dedicated staff who provide guidance, mentoring and a strong sense of belonging. Our Student Support Department, alongside initiatives like wellbeing surveys and Student Parliament, ensures every student feels heard, secure and confident to grow in independence.
