Academic excellence is driven by a rigorous curriculum aligned with both international standards and LOMLOE, ensuring consistently high expectations and strong outcomes. Student progress is carefully monitored through continuous assessment, termly reports and real-time tracking using platforms such as iSAMS and Séneca.
Learning is personalised through adaptive teaching, differentiated planning and targeted interventions, including close collaboration between teachers, families and student support teams. Early exposure to EBAU-style assessments and the development of independent study and critical thinking skills prepare students effectively for Bachillerato and beyond. Achievement is celebrated through assemblies, certificates and formal reporting, reinforcing motivation and progress.
Students build essential life skills through a holistic approach aligned with LOMLOE key competencies and the Exit Profile. Critical thinking, communication and digital citizenship are embedded across subjects, while emotional intelligence and wellbeing are supported through a strong pastoral system.
Learning is delivered through collaborative Situation-Based Learning that promote teamwork, reflection and problem-solving. The tutor system plays a central role in guiding students academically and emotionally, especially during key transition years. Continuous observation, pastoral tracking and close collaboration with families ensure each student is supported in their personal and social development, fostering autonomy, responsibility and resilience.
Students develop strong multilingual competencies through a curriculum delivered across Spanish and English, with additional language options such as French or German integrated into the timetable. Language learning is reinforced across subjects through structured support strategies, including scaffolding techniques, key vocabulary and visual aids.
Students who require additional support benefit from dedicated EAL programmes combining in-class immersion and targeted sessions (Mastering English Programme). Progress is carefully monitored and shared with families through detailed reports and consultations. This approach ensures students become confident communicators, capable of understanding, expressing ideas and engaging effectively in diverse linguistic and cultural contexts.
Students gain international awareness through experiences that extend beyond the classroom. Educational trips provide opportunities to explore new environments, develop independence and strengthen social connections while applying learning in real contexts.
Global perspectives are embedded across the curriculum, particularly in Humanities, History and PSHE, where students engage with global challenges, cultural diversity and responsible citizenship. This approach encourages curiosity, open-mindedness and respect, helping students understand their role in an interconnected world and preparing them to thrive in international environments.
Students begin exploring their future pathways from their first years of ESO, with structured guidance that becomes more personalised as they progress. Through platforms such as Unifrog, career fairs and “World of Work” workshops, students gain insight into academic and professional opportunities.
Individual guidance is provided through one-to-one meetings with tutors, teachers and leadership, helping students select subjects aligned with their strengths and aspirations. Families are actively involved through options evenings and personalised meetings. Data-driven insights, alongside taster lessons, ensure informed decision-making, empowering students to confidently shape their pathway towards Bachillerato and higher education.
In today’s global world, multilingualism fosters empathy and understanding to bridge the gap between cultures and open new perspectives and opportunities.
