Laude House System is back!

12-12-2023

This year, Laude San Pedro has proudly reintroduced the House System.

North, South, East and West are our four houses, bringing together students from different year groups, academic pathways, and ages. The aim of this system is to create annual events that actively involve the entire student body and strengthen our sense of community.

On this occasion, two house events were held: a magazine challenge and a basketball tournament, giving students the opportunity to collaborate, compete, and connect across year groups.

As South House Captain, I would like to express how thankful and happy I am with Laude for bringing the House System back. It has been wonderful to work alongside students of different ages and with peers I would not normally interact with. This learning experience extends far beyond the captains—every member of the four houses is learning to become more open‑minded by working with both older and younger students.

The positive impact this system has had is remarkable. Students are actively participating in events, and it is inspiring to see how every experience creates new friendships, shared laughter, lasting memories, and meaningful stories. The bridges being built across year groups are proof that we must continue breaking down boundaries between systems and ages. If there is one key lesson the houses have taught us, it is that together, we are stronger.
